Breastfeeding Peer Support Service

Description

The Service provided by the Provider shall deliver coordinated, accessible and effective breastfeeding peer support across Leeds, embedded within established pathways and programmes and available in both community and hospital settings. It will ensure that all families can benefit from high-quality, evidence-informed support delivered by trained volunteers, alongside the provision of a hospital-grade breast pump loan scheme that meets the needs of service users and complements existing infant feeding support. The Service will foster environments that promote, welcome and normalise breastfeeding, contributing to a citywide culture where breastfeeding is recognised as a shared community responsibility.
