Description

WeST operates 31 schools serving approximately 15,000 pupils and employing approximately 2,300 staff. The estate comprises 23 primary schools and 8 Secondary schools, the largest of which serves approximately 2,500 pupils. Buildings are mixed in age, construction and condition. The Trust is procuring this system to address the following: • Statutory compliance assurance. Compliance activity across nine statutory areas must be scheduled, evidenced, audited and reported centrally, with a defensible record for inspection and audit. • Asset condition visibility. The Trust holds thousands of estate assets and lacks a single reliable register linking condition, compliance obligation, maintenance history and cost. • Expenditure forecasting. The Trust needs to forecast the non-capital cost of planned maintenance and statutory activity by school, and to attribute actual spend reliably. • Governance and external reporting. The Trust Board, Finance Committee and Audit & Risk Committee require assurance reporting, and the Trust must report against the Department for Education's School Estate Management Standards. • Replacement of the incumbent system. The Trust's current compliance platform is Civica for Education. Full migration to the new platform is required.
