Description
Cambridge City Council has 13 Sheltered Housing schemes spread across the city, which provide housing and support to older people. Sheltered housing, is predominantly, for people aged over 60 who wish to carry on living independently but who require some support in order to do so. Our vision is to maximise opportunities for older people to live self-sufficiently by providing good quality accommodation. To provide support in line with individuals needs and to offer activities and social events helping prevent social isolation and to encourage active ageing. All schemes have their own arrangements for tenants to use communal bins to dispose of their waste. There are a combination of general waste bins and recycling bins at each site, and this contract is to provide the cleaning of each bin following it being emptied, on a monthly basis between May and October (inclusive).
