Description
Since 2018, the planned capacity in housing development plans across the Netherlands has been surveyed. The Department of Public Housing and Spatial Planning (VRO) carries out this survey in collaboration with the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) and the Interprovincial Consultation (IPO). The data from this survey is used by VRO, in collaboration with the provinces and local authorities, to steer housing construction. The survey is known as the National Housing Construction Progress Monitor (LMVW). For the purposes of this survey, all local authorities submit information on their housing construction plans at the planning level to a national administrator via the provinces. Agreements on this have been set out in a data protocol and a baseline dataset. The aim is to make the current LMVW dataset more accessible and to incorporate data from existing data sources into
