Czechia – Network equipment – Replacement of Fibre Channel (FC) SAN switches

Description

The subject of the contract is the procurement of 4 FC Switch - Director 64GFC units, including SFP modules, for two data centres, together with installation and the provision of manufacturer support (maintenance) for one year. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs operates information systems in its data centres in accordance with the relevant legislation. These comprise a number of applications and software programmes which, by their very nature and in accordance with the classification of public administration information systems, constitute elements of the state’s critical infrastructure. In accordance with statutory measures and personal data protection requirements, these systems require hardware resources operated within the aforementioned data centres of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. In view of the dynamic development of applications and the need for rapid allocation of hardware resources, the contracting authority has decided to adapt the method of procuring these hardware resources, particularly with regard to the cost-effectiveness of the expenditure incurred.
