Luxembourg – Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services – AA-012634-001 Technical Assistance to support the Rural Finance Intermediation Programme/phase III (RUFIP III) in Ethiopia

Description

The overall objective of this 4-year TA programme is to promote access to responsible sources of funding and technical support for smallholder farmers, notably women, in Ethiopia to grow production in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner in accordance with EU environmental and social (E&S) standards. The specific objective is to support the deployment of the EIB’s EUR 110 million credit line to RUFIP III by ensuring that all participating RUFIP III beneficiaries (notably the DBE and RFIs) implement the project’s Environmental and Social Management Framework which will become a mandatory condition to receive EIB funds and to provide technical support for rural households and smallholder farmers (particularly women) to adopt sustainable agricultural production methods.
