Description
The City of Copenhagen's Climate, Environment and Technology Department wishes to tender for the cleaning of pavements and selected pedestrian streets under the so-called Pavement Scheme and Facade Meter Scheme. The Pavement Scheme and Facade Meter Scheme are two politically approved cleaning schemes where the City of Copenhagen has taken over the landowners' cleaning obligations on public pavements and performs cleaning at the landowners' expense. The purpose of both schemes is to ensure uniform and regular cleaning in designated areas in Copenhagen. The Sidewalk Scheme and the Facade Meter Scheme have been outsourced since 1 January 2019. The schemes have a legal basis in sections 64-68 of the Danish Road Act. It follows from section 72(2) of the Danish Road Act that work carried out at the landowner's expense must be carried out as cheaply as possible, which is the background for this contract.
