Child Focused Court Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) Support Service within the county’s Family Courts.

Description

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is seeking to award a Contract for the delivery of a Child Focused Courts Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) Support Service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The service will provide specialist, trauma-informed support, advocacy, risk assessment and safety planning for adult victim-survivors of domestic abuse who are involved in private family law proceedings within the Child Focused Courts model. The service will work closely with Family Courts, Cafcass, local authorities and other relevant partners to identify and respond to risks at an early stage, support victim-survivors throughout court proceedings, and contribute to improved outcomes for children and families. The Contract will commence on 14 January 2027 for an initial period ending 31 March 2028, with the option to extend for up to two further periods of 12 months each.
