Description
Note: This tender process will be governed by the internal Procurement Policy of the University of Bristol. For the avoidance of doubt, for the purposes of this procurement, the University of Bristol is not a Contracting Authority for the purposes of the Procurement Act 2023, which will accordingly not apply to this procurement. The objective of the tender is to secure a support and maintenance contract to support the hydraulic ring main and associated systems in Queen's building, University of Bristol. Any proposal should cover solutions to planned, preventative and reactive maintenance with a clear pricing structure and responsibility matrix. In addition, potential suppliers should offer inventory and parts proposals. It is desirable that any prospective supplier should be able to demonstrate methods to exploit maintenance data in order to improve reliability of the hydraulic system and overall service delivery. The hydraulic system is a facility power supply to research laboratories that powers such items as a large earthquake simulator, actuation and control machines, material test machines and bespoke equipment for a variety of research activities. The facility is used primarily to support research outcomes but does also support high-value commercial work.
