Description

The trigger for this procurement process is the need to replace an already existing SEM/EDX that is nearing the end of its lifespan with a state-of-the-art SEM/EDX. It will be used for MIT research and other research conducted within the Microspores and Materials team. MIT (Microanalysis Invasive Trauma) research investigates with or by which object injuries found in a crime victim during a judicial autopsy were caused. This MIT investigation into the "manner of death" is conducted in a multidisciplinary context by the fields of expertise Forensic Anthropology, Microspores & Materials and Scratch, Impression and Shape Traces.
