The National Trust is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to deliver woodland creation, hedgerow planting, fencing, and associated landscape improvement works at Skernaghan Point, Islandmagee, County Antrim. This project forms part of the National Trust's wider habitat restoration and nature recovery programme, aimed at enhancing biodiversity, improving habitat connectivity, and increasing climate resilience within this important coastal landscape. The successful contractor will be responsible for the provision of all labour, materials, plant, equipment, supervision, and management required to complete the works. Key elements of the contract include: • Native woodland creation within designated planting areas. • Establishment of native mixed-species hedgerows. • Supply and installation of stock-proof fencing. • Installation of gates, access infrastructure, and drinking troughs where specified. • Ground preparation, vegetation management, and ancillary establishment works. • Supply and installation of six timber dams (approximately 3m wide using larch rounds), with locations to be confirmed during the site visit. All works must be completed in accordance with National Trust requirements, project specifications, and industry best practice.
